Aesthetic Dental Crowns and Veneers Marbella

AESTHETIC DENTAL CROWNS

Dental crowns have both aesthetic and functional uses, since they are practically a cover that is placed over a natural tooth in order to replace it.
A dental crown can be considered a "new tooth" that fits over the natural tooth. They have some similarities to cosmetic dental veneers, but they are actually different treatments.

Zirconium crown

It is also known as a goalless sleeve and the main advantage of these crowns is the material. Zirconia allows the strength of the veneer to be increased to match that of metal-porcelain, but with the colour, shape and translucency of a natural tooth.

Lithium disilicate crown

We can say that it is one of the best options for the accomplishment of rehabilitations that require a high aesthetic. Lithium disilicate is a ceramic material that is made from a glass nucleation and crystallization process. The lithium disilicate ceramic is called E-max.
The main advantages of this material are in the balance between physical and aesthetic properties that give strength, ease and aesthetic quality to treat this combination of elements.

Its durability has been proven to be up to 3 times stronger than other materials used for the same purpose. This easy-to-treat material is a plus that allows dental laboratories to work quickly and effectively. Surely this component will displace other materials used until now.

Advantages of lithium disilicate in dental aesthetics

Naturalness: achieve natural shades in teeth which is the great challenge in dental aesthetics, this combination of ceramic and glass allows to achieve different shades that adapt to the natural color of the tooth.
Ease of use: it has a great capacity to be treated with flexibility and ease in dental laboratories, allowing it to be in great demand by specialists in dental aesthetics as the results are excellent.
Cementation: the adhesive bond with the dental tissue obtains an effective and lasting union and guarantees the restorations made with this component thanks to its great resistance.
Fitting: Lithium disilicate is biocompatible and fits perfectly to the tooth structure.

Applications of lithium disilicate in dental aesthetic treatments

Metal-porcelain crown

This type of crown, thanks to its strength and more affordable price compared to other types of crowns, is the most requested and at the same time recommended by dentists.

The advantages of the metal-ceramic crown

Strength: Metal-ceramic crowns are very strong and that is why dentists recommend them for molar and premolar teeth, where a more intense force is exerted on the teeth.
The natural look of the tooth: The metal-ceramic dental crown gives a natural look to the tooth (even if the metal-free porcelain crown looks more natural) Affordable price
: The metal-ceramic crown is much more affordable than pure porcelain or zirconium (porcelain crown: from 1000 ?)

COSMETIC DENTISTRY VENEERS

The treatment by aesthetic veneers consists of placing thin films around the teeth, with a thickness of less than 1 millimeter, whose purpose is to improve the appearance of the smile.
The objective of aesthetic veneers is restorative aimed at masking the visible surface (or front) of the tooth, in order to correct aesthetic or pathological problems of the teeth.
The difference between veneers and caps is that to place the veneers the tooth is not altered, whereas in the treatment by caps it is necessary to lower or file the teeth to give them the necessary shape, which entails the alteration of the dental structure and a more complex procedure that requires anesthesia.
There are different types of veneers depending on the material they are made of:

Composite veneers

Composite veneers are made with a thin layer of synthetic resin that is bonded to the tooth. It is an inexpensive treatment, compared to porcelain veneers, and it is a material that can last between 5 and 7 years. They are made directly on the teeth themselves, applying the material to the visible part and shaping it until the desired appearance is achieved. It is necessary to go to the dentist every 6 or 12 months to check the condition of the veneers and have a careful oral hygiene.

Are aesthetic composite dental veneers recommended?
Aesthetic composite veneers are a very safe and non-aggressive aesthetic treatment. They are used to improve tooth color, shape or size. It is indicated for those patients who want to improve their smile and eliminate small defects or anomalies of the teeth. It is also a very useful treatment for patients when an orthodontic treatment is finished and they want to perfect the symmetry of some teeth.
The composite veneer is placed directly on the tooth, one by one, so it is the best treatment when the defects are slight - crooked, stained, damaged or with a small gap - or the area to be treated is small.
However, composite veneers are not recommended if the patient has: caries, veneers could only hide the underlying problem and advance the infection; suffers from bruxism, the friction that is made on the teeth with this disorder can fracture or erode the veneers; if the erosion or defects to be treated are severe or the area is wide, for this type of problem there are other more appropriate dental alternatives.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain that are used to recreate the natural look of teeth. They cover the outside of the teeth while providing strength and resistance comparable to natural tooth enamel.
It is an aesthetic technique that allows to have white teeth with a non-invasive procedure. The porcelain veneers are made to measure, they are personalized, with special molds we take the measurements and shape of the teeth to be covered.
It is often the material of choice for those looking to make slight alterations to position, or to change tooth shape, size or colour. This type of veneer consists of the fusion of very fine ceramic sheets that are fused by hand to give the shape and texture of the glaze.
The color of the original teeth is analyzed and checked so that the dental veneers are as identical as possible. Once the mold is in place, it is glued to the tooth, hiding the defects of the original tooth.

Are aesthetic porcelain dental veneers recommended?
This type of aesthetic treatment is safe and not aggressive, it is recommended for those people who have serious conditions in their teeth such as fractures, or the area to be restored is wide, or there are interdental spaces that must be covered. It is a procedure that lasts many years, about 20 years, and rarely needs restoration or removal.
It is a highly recommended aesthetic technique for those people who want to improve their smile.

Lithium disilicate veneer

Lithium disilicate is the result of the combination of ceramic and glass (with lithium disilicate LS2) used for veneers, crowns and bridges that will restore the health, function and aesthetics of damaged
teeth. This material has a high durability and strength. Optically it has very similar properties to natural teeth, which makes it an unbeatable aesthetic, and this, together with its good mechanical properties, makes it a very good material for making our dental veneers. A minimum thickness of material is required to obtain high strength, which adds the advantage of having to make a minimum preparation of the tooth on which they are placed.

Advantages

- Great biocompatibility.
- Very good fit to the gum.
- Unbeatable aesthetics, great translucency, which makes them ideal for veneers and crowns in the anterior
sector - Correct adhesion to the tooth
- Good resistance and durability.
- High resistance to wear and tear.
- Its characteristics are not altered over time, in terms of colour, brightness, etc.
